Need a bit more to go on, Richard.
Does this help, Aaron…
“Why does everybody take for granted that we don’t learn to grow arms, but rather, are designed to grow arms ?
“Similarly, we should conclude that in the case of development of moral systems, there’s a biological endowment which in effect requires us to develop a system of moral judgement and a theory of justice, if you like, that in fact has detailed applicability over an enormous range” (Noam Chomsky – quoted in “Moral Minds” by Marc Hauser – Harper Collins – 2006).
That’s what I want to write a book about – and applying Mega Motivation Theory to that…
I’m sorry to say, Richard, that I don’t think morality has got anything to do with instinct, morality is an acquired trait, a product of society’s habits and coexistence, not one a person is born with.
Instincts are never learned or thought of. They are naturally intrinsec to living beings.
But perhaps as Tyger says, we need a little more to know what you are really thinking of.
Thanks for your contribution, Jose. Appreciated.
I’m still thinking about what you said…but in the meantime here’s something about Marc Hauser (and Noam Chomsky) for you to think about :

And this one about “Human Universals” is interesting – with the mention of Schopenhauer, Pinker, Chomsky et al :

Sexual modesty? Isn’t this an oximoron? I cannot understand how sex can be modest. The most important right, after that of living, shouldn’t have qualifying names.
